Silent Witness

We’re dancing in sunshine, then it starts raining

The silver lining’s, we keep on dancing like nothing’s changed

In the garden at day’s end, we crash together in the still night

The shared silence is golden, we see the endless stars in a whole new light

We wade each moment’s rushing current

Such up time’s hill

Even day bears a silent witness

To the arrows of our will

We’re in the surf splashing, then feel the storm rising

The waves start crashing, we hear a warning in the seagull’s cries

Far on the horizon, sails whip in the ripping wind

The danger is rising, we’re torn with worry will they make it safely in?

We wade each moment’s rushing current

Such up time’s hill

Even day bears a silent witness

To the arrows of our will

Reckless heart gamblers, pure soul dreamers

Wilderness ramblers, conjure life’s most furious streams

They ride the wild pulls and throws, acts of charity or passion’s crimes

Happy endings or tales of woe, make a stand or bow in voiceless pantomime

We wade each moment’s rushing current

Such up time’s hill

Even day bears a silent witness

To the arrows of our will
